Twister - Description

This traditional fishing ship was built completely from wood in 1902. In 1957, the wooden hull was replaced by a steel one. In 1998, the two-masted schooner 'Twister' was completely converted into a luxury sailing ship with the feel of a yacht. All guests are guaranteed an enjoyable and comfortable sailing trip aboard the 'Twister', whether at the helm, on deck or in the wheelhouse. This luxury schooner additionally boasts a beautiful bar in the stern. Her modern rigging system and the gracefully designed lines enable the 'Twister' to perform excellently both on the IJssellake, Baltic Sea and the ocean. Skipper André Hanzens has extensive experience of many of the world's oceans and wil be only too happy to guide you through the wonderful world of sailing.

The skipper, André Hanzens, is pleased to welcome you on board the ‘Twister’. This fervent sailor does everything in his power to make sure that his guests take as much pleasure in sailing as he does. He is as enthusiastic about sailing itself as he is about sailing on the Baltic Sea. He has been sailing there on board his own ship since 1999, and he will be only too pleased to show you all its beautiful places! In addition, you will enjoy excellent hospitality on board the ‘Twister’ - which is something Andre and his mate/cook guarantee.
